What do we ask from activists?
If you feel that there is also surplus food at your place, but no one has taken action yet – now is the time for you to be the one to initiate the change!
We help with the first steps, but we ask you to:
- take on representing the topic within the company,
- talk to your colleagues, introduce the opportunity,
- reach out to decision-makers – whether HR, CSR or management,
- help us connect with the right people,
- be the link between your company and the Food Bank.
Surplus food can occur in many situations at a company – and often goes to waste unnoticed. Here are some typical examples:
- Leftover sandwiches, plated food after events, trainings, company breakfasts or lunches.
- Unserved portions at the end of the day in canteens and cafeterias.
- Near-expiry or „unwanted” shared foods, snacks in the office kitchen.
- Leftover products from promotional packages or samples.
