In cooperation with Corvinus University, University of Szeged, and University of Pécs, we launched the “Hungarian Food Waste Research” project. In the first phase of the research, we analyzed 1200 households and 180 companies.

According to the first results of the research, Hungarian households waste an average of 68 kilograms of food per year per family. The biggest problems are poor storage (35%), over-shopping (28%), and misinterpretation of expiration dates (22%). The final results of the research are expected in spring 2024.
